Internet killed the Radio Star
I saw this in the morning and just saw a news story about it getting stuff ready for the start of the Gong Show (tm). The Globe and Mail's Simon Avery has an article about how radio has been replaced by the Internet as a favoured medium for information and entertainment. He points to the recent events in London as more evidence that people are using the Internet as the first source for information, and interestingly enough, they are going to the folksonomy sites like flickr and wikipedia over the online versions of traditional media. To me this points to the further rise of the Pro-Am and the read/write web. Technorati Tags: folksonomy, Internet, media
