Puzzles and Brain Age

If there is no other argument as to why games should be used to help develop minds, all one has to do is look into the world of puzzles to see how cognitive gymnastics help keep the old grey matter from getting old. The BBC has a story on a game that is available for Nintendo DS and other mobile platforms that calculates the age of your brain (on the side, a younger brain is likely "healthier" and an older one, not so - but having said that should an older brain not be more "wise"). I've found an interview with the creator as well that may be interesting to some. There is also some research on games for health that I've found that is related loosely to this. Technorati Tags: ,
