Logitech Fusion

I saw this over the weekend - the Logitech Fusion, and then this morning I see that we got one if the office. The selling point for this toy are the avatars, and that is also the interesting educational point - each avatar is expressive in a different manner, I wonder how those differences would translate when delivering a course? The avatars generally exaggerate some feature of the user and give a more 3d representation than the often flat and distant faces that are usually on webcams unless those faces are pressed right up to the lens. I'm also wondering how this will impact all those who want to protect children online and those who use online systems to find companions. Technorati Tags: Webcam, Distance Education
