e.Encyclopedia
This weekend, while checking out the IMAX presentation of Mystic India, I peaked into the bookstore/gift shop and found DK Google's E.Encyclopedia Science. Not the first book that I've seen with a search engine or some other Internet based content tied to the book, but this one was slightly different (or at least to my memory, that is what it seems to be). The portal is the only place with a Google ad or logo. I seem to remember other search engine enhanced books, using frames to lock in content and advertising. This certainly seems to be very nice of Google. It seems to be that this is only one part of Google's "beside the content, on top of the infrastructure" strategy. PBS has an interesting write up about how Google is moving to build on top of what already is out there in terms of the Internet. Technorati Tags: Google, Science portals
